Position Summary:
The organization seeks a competent IT professional to manage and strengthen its IT infrastructure, systems, digital operations, and maintenance of IT assets across offices and project locations.

Responsibilities:
1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, attendance management software, routers, switches, and internet connectivity etc.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of LAN, Wi-Fi, cloud systems, email systems, and communication platforms.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software applications, antivirus, and office productivity tools.
  • Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, connectivity-related issues or any day to day IT related issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for hardware repairs, AMC, and IT procurement.
  • Manage and monitor organizational servers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, user access management, and ensuring server security, performance, and regular backups.

2. Maintenance of IT Assets

  • Maintain an updated inventory and asset register of all IT equipment and digital assets.
  • Track allocation, movement, servicing, and disposal of IT assets.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and periodic health checks of IT equipment.
  • Maintain records related to warranties, licenses, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and insurance.
  • Support procurement and installation of new IT assets as per organizational policies.

3. Data Security & Backup

  • Ensure regular data backup and recovery systems for organizational data.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity practices, antivirus protection, and user access controls.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of organizational information and digital records.
  • Support implementation of data protection and IT security policies.

4. Digital Platforms & MIS Support

  • Support maintenance of organizational websites, cloud storage, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Assist teams in managing MIS platforms, databases, dashboards, and digital applications.
  • Generate periodic IT reports and system status updates.
  • Provide support for online meetings, webinars, and virtual events.

5. User Support & Capacity Building

  • Provide timely troubleshooting and help desk support to staff.
  • Conduct orientation and basic IT training for employees on digital tools, cybersecurity, and IT usage protocols.
  • Develop user manuals and SOPs for IT systems and asset management.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s/ Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or related field.
  2. Minimum at least 10 years of relevant experience in IT administration and support.
  3. Experience working with NGOs, development organizations, or social sector institutions will be preferred.
  4. Good knowledge of networking, system administration, cloud tools, cybersecurity, and hardware troubleshooting, and must be updated on the modern tech related challenges and solutions.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Windows/Linux environment, and remote support tools.

Skills and competencies Required:

  1. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  2. Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide user-oriented support.
  3. Good documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  4. Strong communication and coordination skills.
  5. Ability to travel to project locations, if required.
  6. High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is commensurate with industry standards and will be determined based upon the experience set of the candidate and the HR policies of the organization.
