ACCESS is a national livelihoods support organization, with focus on incubating innovations for sustainable livelihoods of the poor. With support from DFID (Govt. of UK), ACCESS was established in March 2006 as a professional new generation agency to contribute to and support poverty reduction in India.
Tier Programmes
Tier I Programmes
ACCESS engages with the community through several programmes in the farm as well as the non-farm sector. The core strategy of ACCESS programmes is to establish community institutions and deliver programme interventions through these structures, building their ownership and enabling empowerment.
Tier II Programmes
Under Tier II, ACCESS provides support to large programmes of the Government/multilateral/bilateral agencies through techno-managerial services and support, undertakes studies; builds capacity of capacity builders; develops content and training material as a public good.
Tier III Programmes
At the National Level, ACCESS has set up platforms through which it seeks to support policies towards strengthening the enabling environment and build an inclusive India. Among ACCESS efforts in strengthening the enabling environment are its three flagship initiatives viz. the Global Inclusive Finance, the Livelihoods India and Udyam Mahila.
